Addition with and without trading
Who needs workbooks? This week we have been revising addition. We have been looking at bridging to 10- where you make add two single digit numbers to make 10 first, spilt strategy where you add the 10's and then the 1's and adding with and without trading- which is the main way most of our parents learnt. We are learning all these different ways do that we can use them to do Maths in our heads (or mentally). ReplyDeleteWhat a great job you are doing at learning how to trade. You look very grown up and confident as you help each other to learn Maths. You must nearly be ready fopr Year 3.
