HOLIDAYS
What are your plans for the rest of the holidays?
So far I have been to the Train Shed, to ride some Thomas trains with my children and to the park.
Next week we will be going to see Colin Buchanan performing live. My children love his songs and can't wait to hear him sing 'Super Saviour' and 'Are You Serving Cap'n Jesus'?
Are you doing anything special in the holidays?

Times Tables Fun
Learning our tables is fun in 2DP!
We use our subscriptions to Mathletics to learn our tables through a range of songs. Each student has their own Mathletics account. Click here to enter.
Your child should have their username and password. Please see Mrs Downes or Mrs Philps if you need another copy.

'By Air'
This week, 2DP had a great time in Science. We looked at transport that travels by air and we made PAPER AEROPLANES!
Our paper aeroplanes flew, they dropped, they got stuck in trees, they nose dived and they twirled. Mrs Downes needed to use an origami paper plane that she found in a program on the computer because her paper planes didn't fly! Here are some pictures of our fun afternoon.

Writing Narratives

This week 2DP have been writing Narratives. We read the Orientation to Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are...
"The night Max wore his wolf suit and made mischief of one kind and another, his mother called him “WILD THING!” and Max said
“I’LL EAT YOU UP!” so he was sent to bed without eating anything."
We then broke up into groups and wrote a Complication. Here are two of our favourites.
